Sporty Spice
This past weekend I was invited to meet up with Pittsburgh's Gay volleyball league and play with them by a friend of mine. I was quite excited about this because back when I was in high school I played on an intramural team and was pretty damn good. However, that was in fact the last time I played. So I was a little nervous about how well I was going to do. I basically forgot all the rules, the bump-set-spike routine, where I should be standing at certain times, or which way I should be facing, etc. However I did remember how to get it over the net, and so I was impressed that I was still able to do that. A few games in, I started to get my groove back. And I was complimented on how well I actually did and was asked to join their league in the fall which i think I am going to do.
I also saw a flyer about a gay men's flag football league this past weekend. This also sparked my interest. Back when I was in school, I was way to skinny to ever play real football, and since i was working almost 30 hour weeks to help support my parents, sports were never really an option for me. However, I was always pretty good when playing for fun or during gym class. I have since bulked up a bit, and can finally hold my own. So I am thinking about going to a game to see how much i actually like it. There is also some potential to look at some hot muscle bears. So thats always a plus.
I never considered myself a jock, well mostly because like I said, I didnt play any real sports. No one in my family played or even watched sports so it was never something I really felt strongly about. However, now that I am a little older, the idea of playing sounds exciting. Maybe I will become a jock afterall. I always did want to hear, "Shower Up boys!"

Hiatus
Geez Loeeeez, I finally found a damn minute to write on this here blog. I have been super duper busy as of late doing who knows what, so I havent had much time to form a thought long enough to write a post. So whats been occupying my time?
Well I took my new(er) car for a quick checkup and was told that somehow it has a crack in its radiator and that I shouldnt drive it. Luckily its under warranty so I dont have to pay that sucker. And you know what they gave me as a loaner? Take a look. So lets just say I wasnt complaining. I am "stuck" with this car for a few more days until everything is all fixed. I definitely let the dealership know to take their time on fixing my car.
I have also been spending my weekends still at Sandcastle, where i did attempt to take a few snapshots of some shirtless hotties, but ended up only taking pictures of people with 3 teeth and sagging asses. Hot.
So that mixed in with a death of a family member and working my ass off at work, has left me with not much time to blog. I cant promise that I will be blogging a ton this month, as work is going to continue to get busier for me, as well as my extremely needed vacation in 2 weeks to Rehoboth Beach. But I wont forget about ya'll. Just dont expect daily posts and rants.
Peace!

Happy 2nd!
First things first, I had an amazing Birthday/Pride weekend here in Pittsburgh. I couldn't have asked for a better time while being surrounded by the people I care about most. I have some pictures, not many though, that I took on my iPhone. I have yet to upload them to my computer so all of you can view them. Give me another day or two.
Today however, marks another milestone in my life. Yes, today is the 2 year anniversary for the bf and I. Its crazy to think its only been 2 years as I feel as though I have been with him for several more. All of you loyal readers know that this past year has definitely been a rough one for the hubster and I, but each relationship will be tested.
This road was by no means easy, but by all means worth it. I get to go home everyday and see the guy puts a smile on my face.*Most of the time* I am extremely lucky to have found someone who is willing to put up with me and sometimes even laugh at my stupid jokes and weirdness. I am so grateful to have him in my life and to have met him when I did.
Since we are going on vacation in in less than 3 weeks and because I am broke we are opting to not buy gifts to mark the occasion. We are however going to our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh, Soba. Hopefully followed by some hot sweaty man love.
And I will leave you with that loyal reader. :)

Gay Pride/Birthday Weekend
As some of you know, tomorrow is Pittsburgh's Gay Pride in the Streets event as well as my birthday. Which the two things couldnt go better hand in hand.
For tomorrow, I am very excited as the weather is supposed to be beautiful at 75 degrees. My friends and I will be spending the first half of our day at Sandcastle gawking at the hot bodied straight men who we all assume are questioning their sexuality or at least that day's swimsuit selection. For example:
Closeted Straight Male to his "Girlfriend/Beard": Does this pair of swim shorts make me look fat?
Girlfriend/Beard: Umm, no. I dont think so.
Closeted Straight Male: Fabulous. Er, I mean, good.
So as I said, we will spend our early afternoon making fun of these guys. And then 16 of my closest friends will gather at Houlihanns in Pittsburgh's famous Station Square for some good grub and tall Long Islands and Beers. I hope to leave the restaurant nice and tipsy before arriving back to my loft where we will partake in some heavy drinking until we are ready to dance our butts off for the next several hours downtown at the Pride Event.
I simply cannot wait! And to reuse the photograph that I found from last years pride, I edited it to the best of my ability. i didnt dare find another one, because this one is just too hot.
Happy pride Homos!!

Birthday Celebration Day 1
Pittsburgh is #1...Again!
Yep, this great city has been ranked the most livable city in the USA. *Brushes off shoulder
---------------------------------------------------------
Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato was calling -- no, crowing -- from his cell phone, in full, gleeful, salesman-for-the-region mode, ticking off the number of recent surveys declaring Pittsburgh the nation's most livable city (four or five); the number of front-page New York Times stories about Pittsburgh in the past three months (two) and the value of such publicity to the Pittsburgh area (priceless).
Given that abundance of good publicity, the news that Pittsburgh once again is the most livable city in the United States -- and 29th worldwide -- in a 2009 survey by British magazine The Economist was "great news, but not a surprise," Mr. Onorato said.
"This is now the fourth or fifth independent survey from outside the region talking up the Pittsburgh metro region. You have the stories in The New York Times, the president picks us to host the G-20 summit, now you have this magazine, plus others over the years. It's amazing."
The Economist's ranking is just one of many kudos Pittsburgh has earned recently: In 2007 it was rated as "America's Most Livable City" by Places Rated Almanac, and in January Forbes Magazine cited it as the sixth best city in "Ten Cities For Job Growth In 2009."

Apple
Well today Apple will be deputing its new products and software at the Worldwide Developers Conference! I am quite excited to see what the new iPhone software will be capable of doing to my current iPhone. I hear rumors of cut/paste and video features which i find to be very thrilling. The conference is going on right now and so far they have only discussed the Mac Book and Safari 4. If you want to keep updated yourself, check out www.gizmodo.com for the up to date action.
Your First Look...
OK, so until today, I have only ever talked about my goals in regards to getting more fit and lean. Several people have asked for some progress pics and I have hesitated for several reasons. However, during a recent trip to my buddy's house for a grill out, I decided to try on some of his "leather goods" for shits and giggles.
Now some of you may have figured out that I do sort of have thing for nice hairy chested muscle men in some leather. I find that whole leather scene very intriguing even though I havent exactly participated in it at all myself. So nonetheless, here is my one picture that was taken that I approved of for all of you to see.
Now, dont be mean in the comments. I am too fragile. :)

Sunny Weekend
Well the weekend is sadly over and I am back in my cubicle looking at my endless stream of purchase orders, emails, and phone calls. Yes, it is exhilarating as it sounds. I guess it harbors just the right amount of excitement to keep me barely awake on this lovely Monday morning.
I have nothing new to report as my weekend was pretty low key. I spent both of my days lounging in the sun at Pittsburgh's water park Sandcastle. My friends and I buy a season pass and we spend our weekends here, soaking up the sun and the nice eye candy. I went both Saturday and Sunday as it was the parks opening and was greeted with amazing sunny weather and perfect temperatures.
I was also introduced to the amazing invention of sun tan lotion spray. I dont think I could ever use the regular lotion that you apply with your hands. Despite using SPF 30 on both days, I still managed to burn a smidge. I think the top of my head got the worst of it though. And yes, I did apply sun tan protection there too. Cause if there is one thing I've learned, its that you always use protection. ;)
The water was a bit cold as the weather last week wasn't exactly exceptional so the sun didnt get to warm the water all that much, but we dipped our little toes in the water a few times just to cool down for a minute or two. Hopefully, the water will warm up more just in time for our next visit on Saturday.
I did realize one thing though. My body, is uh, well definitely not in the shape i want it to be in. Being at the water park watching the near flawless bodies walk all around me, definitely gave me the small kick in the ass to work 10x harder in the gym. I've actually reached my goal weight last week of 165. However, the weight is not in the areas that i want it. Too much of it went to my stomach in the form of fat, instead of going to my arms, pecs, and legs, in the form of muscle. I have roughly one month to redistribute that though, and I think I can do it.

One Month Away
I am exactly 1 month away from tanning my buns on the sands of Rehoboth Beach. I am in such a need of a vacation I can hardly take it. I have my square cut swim suits all ready to go, my beach towels and sun screen packed up, so i am basically ready to be there now.
Although circumstances have changed a little in regards to the the people in the house, I still think it should be a great time. And by circumstances I mean that i dont really get along with 2-3 people that are going and staying in our house. But I will put on my smiley face and play it cool. I dont need a repeat of last year by any means. Ill keep my fists to myself and will wear a sign around my neck that says, "Plays Well With Others".
I do have some of my best friends coming though, which will make this trip amazing. Our house is one block away from the beach, and two blocks away from the gay beach, which is puuurrfect. We will be there from July 4th-11th, so if anyone plans to be there also during those times, hit me up!
Ill also be sure to take lots of photos this year!

Worst TV Show Ever
I am a huge sucker for horrible reality television. So I decided to watch an episode of the critically acclaimed, *cough, "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" and it was just as bad as I was expecting it to be. Besides the cute host of the show, Damien, everything about this program was a joke. I couldnt believe I actually watched it for an entire hour without cutting myself. It wasnt the least bit entertaining and actually at times, unbearable to watch. And for some reason, NBC has this on 3 times a frickin week! Apparently they are having some trouble filling time slots.
This brings me to another point, I cant say I'm addicted to TV, but I do have my shows that I would watch on an every week basis. I am an avid fan of Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, and a few others. However, I found now that they are all over until next season, I am quite bored out of my mind. Now, I know I could do something productive with my time, but by the time I get home from being to the gym everyday, I am pretty worn out and just want to relax in front of my TV. But as good shows are becoming scarce and in return have been forced to watch the same movies that play on HBO over and over again. For example, I have now watched "Erin Brockovich" possibly 10 times in the past month. Even though I do love this movie, I think once I hit the 15 mark, I may have to call Erin herself and tell her I am no longer able to watch her movie.
I guess I am stuck with news shows for the time being. I do watch Bill Mahr, Keith Olbermann, and Rachel Maddow, but I can only take some much news in one day considering every hour while I am here at work I am checking CNN, Fox News, JoeMyGod, and Towleroad just so I can stay up to date with the days happenings.

Lets Be Honest...
...it SUCK$ to be broke!!!
Not that I need to be airing my financial situation for the world to see, but somehow I overdrew my bank account, and my bank tried charging me almost $200 in overdraft fees! I was bitch slapped by PNC Bank hard this morning when I looked at my account online. I felt as if my account called me out and said "Girl, you betta getcho act togetha hunny and watch those diminishing funds, cuz if not, we rape your little bootaaay for everything its worth." And apparently its only worth $200.
I overdrew my account by accident of course. I mean, I guess no one really intends to overdraw, but mine was just a simple miscalculation that caused this BS. They seriously tried charging me 7 overdraft fees. Bit much dont ya think? I really think the first one was enough to get the point across, but 7? Really? But as they say, size matters...
So I called said bank, and spoke their so-called "Consultants", apparently they are no longer being called Customer Service Reps. Consultants sound much more helpful, right? Yeah, I didnt think so either. So I tried to be as nice as possible and asked them to remove all of the fees, but they declined. I even told them that I wont be able to afford all of my new square cut swim suits for the beach this year, but they didnt really seem to care. J/K. I did tell them that the amount did seem excessive that they were charging me and asked for them to take some of the fees off. Which they did. 3 of them actually. So that saved me $90+. But I still got charged $120+ in the end. Which is more than I can really afford at the moment.
Lets just say thank gosh, I get paid on Friday. This makes me think of that damn phrase, money is the root to all evil, because clearly, the ass who said it, wasnt poor, and could afford to put food on his table and refill his bottle of lube once it was empty. Crazy Betch!

It Came Out of Nowhere
So picture it, I am sitting on my couch watching the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team get the crap kicked out of them by The Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Finals last night, when I stood up and it hit me...I had a sore throat. Normally when this happens, it is the first sign of a very bad cold rearing its ugly head. I immediatly began drinking my V-8 Fusion juice and popped a multi vitaman. This morning I woke up fully congested and with even more sore throat. Ugh.
I hate being sick. I get more colds than anyone I know. At least once a month I come down with these damn things. I am presuming it is because I frequent the germ infested gym 4 times a week but I just know that I better kick this thing quick!
Does anyone know of any good remedies to kick a cold?
