Waiting Game is Over
Well I finally heard back regarding the job. And it is now official that I didn't get it. :( This upsets me greatly as I was led on to believe that I had in fact basically got the job. Luckily, I never told my current boss that I was leaving. Apparently, this company had decided to reorganize this particular group and instead of filling the role I interviewed for, they were going to shuffle some things around internally so that they could save the money on hiring someone else. This really pisses me of. After 3 interviews and a full day worth of testing, they tell me afterwards, that they no longer need someone to fill this role. Wonderful! I really didn't want those vacation days anyways that I had to use. Not!
So the house hunting is being postponed until further notice as is getting a dog. :( I was really looking forward to both of those things too. So I guess it is back to the job search for now. Hopefully, something will come around soon.

I am sorry to hear that you didn't get the job, and I certainly understand that you are very disappointed.
I think you are wise enough and mature enough to take the high road, and thank them for their interest. If you don't burn the bridge, and you react in a classy way, they may keep you in mind when they do decide to hire.
Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Good luck with the resumed job search.
Hey, just came across your blog and I will read through, fair amount you have posted ;)
Good luck with the job hunt.

Thank them profusely, ask them to keep you in mind for a future position. But then also ask yourself whether a company that treats people like that is someplace you would like to be working.
Chin up buckaroo.
I like your blog! found you via JMG. sorry to hear about the job :-( good luck in the continued search!
same here. J.M.G. made me come here. sux the way they treated you. not that it will make you feel better, i guess, but the EXACT same thing happened to me. except they never really said "no". they just kept interviewing me, and inviting me back, but never once actually said "sorry, no". eventually, I just stopped calling them. it's a strange world out there, sometimes. who can figure THEM out?
:( that blows, it sounded so much like you had it in the bag, that doesn't seem very right what they did to you. One day things will all fall into place how they are suppose to and it will all work out in the end :)For now just stay positive and keep on searchin.
