Last night I decided to do some deep cleaning in and around the apartment. It really needed done and i had nothing better to do so I thought, why not. However, during my cleaning, I came across something no one ever wants to fine. And no I am not talking about a boyfriends skidmarked underwear. You know what I found...
Mice poop.
Yeah. And lots if it. I found lots of it in my cabinets under my kitchen sink. They appear to be living underneath the cabinets actually. I also found it in the corners of my living room and on the window sills. This totally freaks me out. The thought of these gross little creatures running around in my apt is not something I enjoy thinking about. Luckily I dont think they have been able to get into my bedroom because of the way my steps are built to get into my lofted bedroom.
So as they are detained to the downstairs that relieves some anxiety. We alerted our landlord of the situation and hope they can exterminate the little bastards quickly. I just dont want to see any dead mice in any sort of trap. I think poison mice pellets are going to be used, but I just dont want the mice to die and then decay under my cabinets.
I think maybe a cat maybe in order. :)

Last year I had a little fellow wanting to reside in my apartment. He got rather brave and would run around the living while I was watching TV. Of course he never went near the traps. After some hunting, I finally found a small hole in a baseboard and figured that's where he was coming in at. I plugged the hole and never saw him again.
DOn't kid yourself. These little creatures can find their way into whatever space they want.
The problem with pellets is that they have a habit of dying between the walls and you never get rid of that smell.
Good luck. I believe a cat to be a good solution until the little kitty decides to gift you with a wet, dead little carcass.
Beware the poison pellets. They tend to make the little bastards bleed to death from the eyes and mouth. Had one get sick from the poison, bed down in a drawerful of clothes and start bleeding everywhere.
Mice aren't that bad. I wouldn't want to be overrun with them, but they're pretty harmless.
It's just kind of shocking that you found all of their feces at one time. Is this the first time you've ever cleaned your home?
And don't kid yourself that they can't get upstairs...no matter how your stairs are built! That's almost laughable.
I simply cannot return to the "One Guy, One Cup" page to leave a comment, as I nearly gagged while hoping that the new guy at work wasn't looking at my monitor. But ewwwwwww...
