After work today, two friends of mine and I will make our way to Detroit. I have never been there, and generally I wouldnt ever really want to go there as it doesnt have the best reputation for being a safe or fun city. However, for artistic reasons, we will be there photographing buildings for fun. Click here for what we will be photographing.
It will be nice to get out of Pittsburgh again for a few days. Cant wait to show ya'll my pictures!
FYI. Did you know techno music originated in Detroit? Is that that a fun little fact.

Something to Think About
I came across this quote from another blog and found it very much worth mentioning on my blog here thingy.
"I’ve just had a bit of time to think and reflect, and I came to realize that up to this point, I’ve actually lived the life that I wanted. and that’s what makes it perfect. That makes me happy."
Have you been living the life that you want?

Mass Shooting In Pittsburgh
Fucking crazy....

---------------------------------------
A shooting at an LA Fitness gym outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, killed five people and wounded as many as 15 on tonight.
Authorities at the scene of a shooting at an LA Fitness gym.
The shooter is among the fatalities, said Gary Vituccio, manager of Collier Township.
Allegheny General Hospital reported receiving two wounded patients at its trauma center, Mercy Hospital had six and St. Clair had one. No other details were immediately available.
Perry Calabro of nearby Bridgeville said he was between racquetball games at the gym when he suddenly heard screaming and multiple gunshots. He said he ran out and didn't see the gunman or others.
Witnesses told CNN affiliate WTAE that a man unrecognized by the gym's staff shot people in a Latin dance class.
A witness identified as Nicole told WTAE that about 30 women were in the class when "a middle-aged white male walked into the class. He had a big gym bag."
"He looked out of place in a class full of women," according to the witness, who told WTAE the man put down the bag, turned off the lights and opened fire.

Where Did It Go?
For those of you who follow this blog, since the beginning of this year, I have been trying to pack on some extra muscle and was going to the gym 4-5 days a week. Well those times are now gone and I am sad that throughout the entire month of July, I went to the gym a whopping 2 times. So clearly, my body has already started to see some major changes.
Basically, most things on my body shrunk. My arm, neck, shoulders, back, chest, and legs are a much smaller version of their former self. However, two things have gotten bigger. One being my ass, which isnt always a bad thing. The other being my stomach. I am starting to form that sexy malnourished look which can be easily confused with pregnancy. I swear if I didnt have a beard, people would ask me how far along I was. Sad really.
Now that the beach has come and gone, my determination to go to the gym so frequently has diminished. I just no longer feel like going. I would much rather go home, take a nice nap and eat some cookie dough ice cream. I tell myself that is more beneficial for my health than going to the dirty old gym.
Hopefully I can drag myself to gym at least a few times this week. Starting tomorrow of course. I only have a little wee bit of ice cream left, so I have to eat it before it goes bad. Well, thats my excuse for today anyways.

Not What is Used to Be

This past Saturday 3 friends and I made the 15 minute trip to one of Pittsburgh's claims to fame...Kennywood!
Those who are amusement park connoisseurs should definitely know what Kennywood is. It is one of Americas oldest amusement parks. And is almost always placed in the top 10 parks in the country. The park isnt huge but for some Pittsburghers like myself, I would rather go here than to lets say Cedar Point. Which is known for having the most roller coasters than any other park in the world.
I have mentioned Kennywood a few times on my blog before and have noted that the nostalgia of the park due to going multiple times every summer growing up is what keeps me going back. I cant say much has changed at the park since I began going so many years ago, and I think thats why i like it. I love going there seeing the same rides upon entering the park, hearing the familiar music flowing out of the large Candy Shop near the entrance/exit, and smelling the cotton candy vendors that can be seen every few hundred feet.
I may not get the little butterflies in my stomach I once did when I was child as my family would try to find the best parking spot, and in fact instead the only thing I feel in my stomach now when I go there is usually motion sickness as my body is letting me know that i wont be able to ride roller coasters for much longer. My body has grown to be pretty lame. I mean I cant even ride the god damn Merry-Go-Round without getting sick.
But I am just as happy walking with whomever i am there with reliving old memories and watching the kids who do in fact get those butterflies knowing that they are the happiest little kids on the planet just as I once was.
As they say here in the Burgh, Kennywood's Open!!!
